The film “Shrek” was released 20 years ago and quickly became the most popular animated film of all time. Few could have predicted the writers’ ability to fully connect as the swamp-dwelling ogre. Shrek’s developers were able to release a series of sequels due to the film’s success. Despite the fact that there have been four Shrek sequels to date, fans have been missing the green ogre since 2010.
First released in 2001 “Shrek” got most favorite animated movie. Its story revolves around a green ogre named as Shrek who lives in a swamp. He is anti-social and likes to remain aloof. One day his life of solitude is disturbed by Lord Farquaad who exiles many fairy-tale creatures to Shrek’s swamp. Shrek wants his secluded life back. He arrives at Duloc where a tournament was already at play.
Luckily, Shrek wins the tournament. But soon he discovered that he has to rescue princess Fiona if he wants to get his previous peaceful life back. He agrees. Along with a talkative donkey he sets on a journey to rescue the princess, Fiona. Eventually, he succeeds in rescuing her. On their way back to Duloc they both fall in love. But Shrek falls victim of a misunderstanding and behaves rudely with Princess Fiona. Resultantly Fiona decided to marry Lord Farquaad. But later, Shrek finds that he misunderstood the overheard conversation between Donkey and Princess Fiona.
He hurries to Duloc and explains himself before Fiona. But Fiona was cursed. She transformed into ogress after sunset. Only a true lover’s kiss can break the spell. When Shrek arrives at the moment it was sunset. They kiss and after that Fiona convert into ogress permanently. But Shrek’s love remains same for her.
However, there is some good news for those of you who grew up in the 1990s. Shrek 5 has just been announced, and we can’t wait to see it!
A revamp of the fifth Shrek film is currently in the works. Since the formal announcement of Shrek 5 in November 2018, there have been no promising details about the film. Fans became less interested in the upcoming Shrek film as information on the sequel picture dwindled over time, and they quickly forgot about it. However, there has recently been a lot of anticipation around its release.

Michael McCullers, the creator of ‘The Boss Baby’ and ‘Austin Powers,’ collaborated on the script and assured its completion in 2020, but no narrative specifics have been published as of yet.
