After illegally allowing Indian players to participate for Nepal’s side, India has lost the privilege to hold Tent Pegging World Cup Qualifiers. The qualifying tournament will now be held in Pakistan.
The World Cup qualifying round in India has been cancelled by the International Tent Pegging Federation as India unjustly included their horsemen in a Nepal team pretending to be Nepalese. The deception was exposed by the Indian media.
According to sources, India originally registered Nepal on its own before forcing Indian players to wear Nepali jerseys. The International Tent Pegging Federation took off India’s hosting rights when the scandal was exposed by Indian media. The occurrence in which India attempted to deceive the regulatory body occurred in March 2022. In addition, Indian riders posing as Nepalese players have been reported.

The huge event will take place in South Africa in March of next year, with qualifying continuing until November.
