The Federal Investigation Agency‘s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing (CCW) has caught a gang that extorts money from ordinary people by blackmailing them with disagreeable films.

The five-member crew was apprehended in Lahore, with millions of rupees and hundreds of filthy recordings recovered from dozens of mobile phones, laptops, and hard drives, according to details.

Imran, Faheem, Shoaib, Bilal, and Imran have been named as suspects. A case has been filed against them under the relevant provisions of the applicable legislation, and an investigation is currently underway.

After recording the videos, they used to extort money from the sufferers by threatening to leak their videos on social media platforms. The gang sent the videos to the relatives of those who were unsuccessful to comply with its demands.

The group used to contact unsuspecting persons through various social media platforms and make pornographic videos with them after winning their trust, according to a representative for the FIA.

The gang affiliates had long been on the list of FIA’s most wanted wrongdoers, with a number of complaints, mostly from Faisalabad, lodged against them, concluded the spokesperson.
